CEO, The Nash Group
Troy Nash is the CEO of The Nash Group, a 100% minority-owned real estate investment management and affordable housing development firm. The company specializes in acquiring, developing, and managing properties for its own account through partnerships and joint ventures.
For 15 years, Dr. Nash served as a Managing Director at Newmark, the fourth-largest commercial real estate firm globally. In this capacity, he provided advisory services to both public and private sector clients, facilitating mutually beneficial public-private partnerships.
Before joining Newmark, Dr. Nash served as a city councilman in Kansas City. In 2014, he achieved the historic milestone of becoming the first African American executive to be selected as a partner in a top 10 commercial real estate firm in the State of Missouri, shattering a glass ceiling that had persisted since Missouri’s statehood in 1821.
Dr. Nash holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wesley College, an MBA, an M.A. in political science, and an M.A. in economics, all from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He also earned a J.D. from the UMKC School of Law. Additionally, he holds a doctorate in education from St. Louis University and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Southern California. Dr. Nash is currently pursuing a Master’s in Real Estate at Georgetown University and a Master’s in Public Health from Brown University.
