Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Tyler serves as Paramount Bank’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel, with primary responsibility for providing legal representation and counsel on all company matters, as well as engaging in residential loan originations. In his twelve years with Paramount, Tyler has consistently ranked among the bank’s top loan originators. His legal training and background equip him to provide expert counsel and superior service to borrowers throughout the mortgage process. He serves on the Board of Directors of Paramount and is also a company owner.
Before joining Paramount, Tyler spent a decade in the Corporate Services Group of Armstrong Teasdale LLP, one of the top law firms in the Midwest. During this time, he specialized in guiding both public and private clients through various business operations and growth matters. His expertise included representing clients in merger and acquisition transactions, complex commercial contract matters, joint venture/corporate formation, fundraising initiatives, transactions involving real property, and regulatory issues affecting the mortgage banking industry.
Tyler is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a B.S. in Biology and was a member of the university’s Dean’s List. He obtained his J.D. from Washington University’s School of Law and is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and the Illinois Bar Association.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Tyler has been a former “big brother” mentor and role model through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri. He actively participates and volunteers his time with various organizations, including the St. Louis Sports Commission, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day. While Tyler has successfully summited Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft.) in Tanzania, Africa, and completed numerous long-distance triathlons, his greatest achievement is being a husband and father to his loving family.
